Marci Lashway was born in West Springfield, Massachusetts. While growing up, art played a significant role in her life, concentrating on drawing, music and competitive dance. Eventually, Marci lost the inner creative voice that she had once had until she discovered photography in a basic high school course. In 2003, she moved to Canada in order to pursue a life out on her own. In 2008, Marci received her B.F.A. in photography studies at Ryerson University in Toronto. Most recently, Marci’s work has focused on creating narratives through the use of portraiture. Her photographs have been exhibited in various locations, including the Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto Harbourfront Centre, Gladstone Hotel, Niagara Gallery and Ryerson University. Marci Lashway currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
